Estherleon: Tears of Stone
We all have a path and destiny. For Estherleon, it was to be born by the trash cans in Marseille in 1941. Saved by nuns after a harrowing escape to the Swiss border, she remembers her father’s words as he threw her over the barbed wire: “Save my daughter and she will serve you forever.” For Estherleon, those words always meant a duty to a higher source.
Estherleon’s beautiful voice, suppressed for so many years, hides the family drama that has marked her life. Her tortured relationship with her mother, who had been branded by the Holocaust, took the ultimate toll on her father and younger brother. Now she can sing without fear as a cantor and spiritual leader. Her music and story convey a universal belief of one spirit, one higher source.
Her journey was not made alone...
